Last night, it was the second wedding anniversary of my mom and my step-dad and since they were leaving for Malaysia today, we decided to celebrate in a simple way.

My family is very big on meat. We love meat. We were actually supposed to have steak and cheese for dinner at home but then my parents didn't feel like cooking and there was only one restaurant capable of satisfying their craving for meat. Gyumon Yakiniku Restaurant. There was never a time that we went there and we were disappointed. Since we were quite famished, we ordered quite a lot...

Gyumon Salad

The salad is complimentary but if you want to order more, I'm pretty sure that it's Php. 150.00 per order. This is a must when you go to Gyumon. If you're familiar with the salad of Yabu, it's almost the same but the flavours of Gyumon's dressing is more balanced than that of Yabu's. Yabu's is quite sour but Gyumon's is sour, sweet, and a tad bit salty all at the same time.

Hossein's Persian Kebab

Hello! Yes, I know I haven't blogged in a VERY VERY VERY long time... But I'm back! :) I promise that I'll keep blogging from now on! I'll put aside some time whenever I have the chance to eat out so I could blog. And, not only will I be blogging about my adventures when I eat out, But I will be blogging about my family's Sunday get-togethers! Last week we ordered from a restaurant called Masuki. Sadly, I wasn't able to take any pictures. I'll start blogging on Sunday get-togethers this week :)

Today, my mom and I went to ATC to run some errands before she leaves for Kuala Lumpur tomorrow. And of course, what's a trip to ATC without any food?! So we decided to eat in Hossein's Persian Kebab. One of my favourite restaurants. I remember a time when I was there at least twice a month. I just can't get enough of the food! Haha! Here's what we ordered.

Hummus

Traditional Levantine Arabic mezze with tahini paste, olive oil, & Middle easters herbs and spices.

For the main course, my mom and I shared an order of Chicken Kebab. I LOVE their chicken kebab because it's so juicy and yet still so flavourful! Sadly, one stick of of the kebab isn't really one stick because they add pieces of tomato and onion before each piece.

I was so happy that I was finally able to eat in Hossein's again after the longest time! Haha! But that wasn't the end of my adventure in ATC today. I got a new laptop sleeve!

I couldn't take a decent picture so I just grabbed one of the internet. I've actually been wanting to buy this case but haven't had the time to go back to ATC. This was actually my second choice since they had run out of stock of the one I wanted. But it's still beautiful. Haha. I got it from 158, Designers' Blvd. And it was on sale! From 3,500 it went down to 2,625.00! So I HAD to get it.

Also, I discovered that there are actually TWO branches of 158 in ATC! The other one is situated at the end of the hall but still on the same building as the old 158. Just go straight and you'll find it. It recently opened on the 22nd of October so it's fairly new.

Bawai's

Around two weeks ago, my parents decided to go out of town to get some rest. So my cousin and I tagged along. We went to Tagaytay and had a good time. It was good to get away from the scorching heat of Manila even just for a while.. And while we were there, we tried out some restaurants that Tagaytay is proud to have. For Breakfast, we tried out the Breakfast at Antonio's but I decided not to blog about it because it was kind of disappointing.. Okay fine. Not kind of.. That was really disappointing. But in fairness to them, I liked their Choco-Banana Muffin! :) 

Anyway, back to the main point of this post. For dinner on our first night, we went to this Vietnamese restaurant called Bawai's. They serve authentic Vietnamese food and they're found deep inside Cavite. Not really Tagaytay anymore.. But it's near Tagaytay so people consider them to be in Tagaytay. Okay, so here are the pictures! :)

If you want to eat in Bawai's, some things you should know are that they are only open on Fridays-Sundays for Lunch and Dinner. For lunch, they're open from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and for dinner, they're open from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. You have to make a reservation. Here are the details:

YABUddy!

Okay.. I know, that was a bad pun.. Haha! So again, around two weeks ago, I went with my mom  to SM Megamall so that she could renew her passport. I waited around 3 hours and when she got out, her passport still wasn't renewed... To lighten up the mood, we decided to grab lunch in Yabu!! YAAAY!! Oh, and I also bought an Aquazorb with my name embroidered :p Lel. Anyway, back to Yabu. Yabu is probably the best tonkatsu place in Manila and for an affordable price too! Another plus is that besides the food, the service of Yabu never disappoints and they don't wait for you to ask them to refill your rice, salad or soup. They'll offer you! Oh, how I love Yabu..

Ginzadon

Around two weeks ago, my parents and I went to Resorts World to try out Ginzadon. It was my first time there and they wanted me to try it since I'm a sucker for Japanese Food. The place was nice, the food was good but I don't think it was worth it. We had an issue with the Wagyu steak that we ordered. My step-dad ordered for it to be cooked medium-well and when it arrived, it was well-done. The chef insisted that the Beef was cooked medium-well and that it was only brown on the outside but when you cut it open, it would be medium-well. So my step-dad opened it one by one and NONE of it were medium-well. My parents got disappointed because they were trying to fool the customers into thinking it was cooked how they wanted it when it really isn't. It wasn't really a good day for Ginzadon because out of all the people they could fool, it had to be my step-dad who happens to be a chef and owned a Steakhouse. In all fairness, all the other food were okay.

A Taste Of L.A.

On April 9, my mom and I went to Quezon City for her weekly acupuncture appointment. After waiting for a good 45 minutes, we got hungry so we decided to eat in a family friend's restaurant. It's called A Taste Of L.A. and it's probably one of my favorite restaurants. It's tucked in Quezon City so not much people really know about it. So, here are some pictures of what we ate. :)

Hey, hey, hey!

Hello, there friends! This is my first time to blog so forgive me. Well, for my first post, I wanted you guys to know who I am and why I wanted to start a blog. 

Okay, So, I'm a fifteen year-old who LOVES food. Well, It kind of runs in the family since my mom is a chef and my step-dad is a chef too! I've been a foodie since I was just a beansprout. At least that's what my mom described in her blog. Anyway, I wanted to start this blog because I felt that I wanted to share my food adventures with you guys. So I hope you enjoy reading and drooling over the pictures of food.
